SAMPLE 2
Anthony is supposed to be visiting this evening the parents of Carolyne, his fianceé-to-be. In an afternoon meeting with Philip Hathers, however, he learns that he has been ‘volunteered’ to go that same evening to meet Arnold Ward, a press correspondent for Eastern Europe. Anthony is by now involved with the files, including Ward’s reports, relating to a Member of Parliament suspected of selling secret information. Arnold Ward is to become central to that case and Anthony’s involvement. Meanwhile Carolyne has been contacted by William, a mutual friend of Carolyne and Anthony from Oxford days.
